Mom's Cole Slaw

This is the recipe Mom sent me years ago when I lived in Germany. (Oh, yes, I was homesick and hungry for "home comfort food", but in the long run the whole experience made me the well rounded person I am today....... but I digress...)

The only change I have made is to use a bag of pre-shredded cabbage/carrot mix instead of shredding a small head of cabbage. My knuckles are very thankful, too.

1 bag shredded cabbage (if carrots are not included in there then you'll have to shred some, but they are usually in the mix).
1 green pepper, chopped small
1 Tbsp sugar
3/4 C. Miracle Whip (Have never used anything but Miracle Whip.)
2 Tbsp. milk
salt
pepper
celery seed

Dump the veggies into a large bowl. Sprinkle with the sugar.
Mix the Miracle Whip and the milk, and pour it over the cabbage mix.
Toss it all with salt, pepper, (lots of pepper), and celery seed.
Stick in the fridge for a few hours, but overnight is even better.
